What Is The Link Between Culture and The National Soul?
Most people have heard about the “iceberg concept of culture”.
It’s a fairly pleasant introduction to the idea of culture.
Here are a few examples:
Culture is a fairly expansive umbrella term which includes things like social behavior, cultural institutions, norms, knowledge, beliefs, architecture, art, customs, laws, and habits of individuals within specific groups.
Culture originates from a people (biology) with contributions/influence from their state (governing framework) and their region (country).
One particular term I am always found of using is the “national soul”. That soul is one of The Three Essentials That Make Legacy-Enduring Societies. The people express the soul of the nation through the culture. It’s the root of the culture, how that culture is formed and shown to the world.
The national soul is the animating vital core of the nation. It is an incorporeal essence of a nation, similar to that of an individual, that demonstrates a combination of the mind and spirit on a metaphysical level to produce the very “being” of the nation. It is not based on the state, system, country, or government. But they often express this soul through the culture, which is influenced by those latter things.
The United States has a degenerate culture because our people now have a degenerate national soul. Our physical people and their leaders seek after evil and materialistic things. We turned our mind toward indulgence and excess. And we turned our spirit toward unfruitful acts. We are even weak on a protective spiritual level, allowing millions of foreigners to invade unhindered.
So, it’s no surprise that our culture now reflects that weak soul. The culture is a mirror of the national soul. And America’s national soul is degraded and distraught.
We need an awakening. We need a complete change of heart, more so than a change of system or leadership.
That is the only way to truly fix the culture—We have to fix the national soul. Anything else is a band-aid.
