August 2022 CDC Update: “Vax Is Worthless”

Congratulations, fellow purebloods.

It is now official:

CDC streamlines COVID-19 guidance to help the public better protect themselves and understand their risk
[…]
Reiterating that regardless of vaccination status, you should isolate from others when you have COVID-19.
[…]
Protection provided by the current vaccine against symptomatic infection and transmission is less than that against severe disease and diminishes over time, especially against the currently circulating variants.

What did we say years ago?

The vaccine doesn’t matter regarding isolation/quarantining.
The vaccine doesn’t protect against transmission or infection.
The vaccine’s effectiveness diminishes over time.

All of these used to be conspiracy theories. But we were right.

I’m glad the CDC finally caught up.

Oh, and we can’t forget the best part:

The CDC’s COVID-19 prevention guidance will no longer differentiate by whether people are up-to-date on their vaccinations. Testing to screen for COVID-19 will no longer be recommended in most places for people who do not have COVID symptoms.
[…]
And the CDC says that “to limit social and economic impacts, quarantine of exposed persons is no longer recommended, regardless of vaccination status.“

So we can add another victory to the list:

The vaccine doesn’t matter for testing/screening purposes.

Giving us four total major changes, all in one day:

The vaccine doesn’t matter regarding isolation/quarantining.
The vaccine doesn’t protect against transmission or infection.
The vaccine’s effectiveness diminishes over time.
The vaccine doesn’t matter for testing/screening purposes.

Luckily, for those of us that remain pureblood, we knew all of this years ago. We knew the vax wouldn’t make a difference for anything, but we all had to play the moronic game.

This update is big, because now even the screening programs that they used to discriminate against the purebloods have been withdrawn. They can’t force us to test anymore, unless they also force the vaxxed to test.

I’m personally thrilled about this development, because it impacted me personally. I’ve been fighting for a reasonable accommodation to the screening program for months (haven’t taken one yet), and just got word they dropped it today officially. Now I don’t even need to fill out the paperwork.
