The Trump Conviction
34 felony charges. Not too shabby for a first-timer going through the criminal justice system.

Trump Conviction: 34 Felony Charges
Clown world actually did it. They convicted Donald Trump on 34 felony counts. This marks the beginning of the next stage of the former president’s hush money trial: sentencing and appeals.
I must say, I am surprised they went for it. I more so expected them to just let Trump get off with a hung jury and claim it was rigged. That approach would have probably looked better for them—Because now, in the eyes of many, he is now a political prisoner/martyr.
But maybe they are going all the way. Maybe, just maybe, they will actually throw him in jail over what was originally a misdemeanor charge that the New York Soros-Appointed Prosecutors wouldn’t even bother prosecuting for 99.9% of the population. It is certainly possible, especially given this conviction. In fact, I’d argue it’s actually likely or I see no reason why they’d let it go this far.
I am no Trump fan (read: Trump’s Final Year: Greatest Peacetime Policy Disasters Of All Time), but this news was still certainly a doozy.
There has also been a lot of recent talk of Republicans and the GOP “going to war” over this conviction:
Republicans Vow To Scorch the Earth After Trump Conviction
Spurred by the volcanic temper of their base, Republicans are now preparing to scorch the earth in the wake of former President Donald Trump’s conviction, potentially setting off a chain reaction that could fundamentally alter the American political system entirely.
No one knows exactly how far they will go in their response.
What is clear is that conservatives have no patience for President Biden’s argument Friday morning that justice was served in Manhattan, that “the American principle that no one is above the law was reaffirmed.” They see the conviction instead as unprecedented “lawfare” meant to interfere with the coming election and, some say, an unprecedented response is now in order.
“The good guys must be as tough as the villains or freedom is doomed,” senior Trump advisor Stephen Miller told RealClearPolitics without offering exact details. Rep. Mike Collins, meanwhile, was explicit. “Time for Red State AGs and DAs to get busy,” the Georgia Republican said Thursday, floating the idea that Republicans should begin using the courts to pursue their political enemies.
One thing we can know for sure is that they are lying about that. They don’t even know what actually fighting leftism means. Republicans never have time to fight. They are too busy surrendering the moral ground to the leftist and arguing over who is the least racist.
I expect Team Red to send strongly worded letters and spend time crying on podcasts in response:
The truth is that the Republicans could not “scorch the earth” even if they tried. Their wrists are far too weak to lift up the heavy 10-lb gas cans needed to do so. That much is guaranteed.
As for Trump and his inevitable outcome, it is in the hands of the leftists now. He ensured that when he failed to stop the fraud of 2020 and left the Jan 6ers to rot in jail. Shame he had to learn like this.
But oh well.
