The Second Amendment: Purpose And Usefulness
Today, I will present you with two arguments demonstrating the main purpose of the Second Amendment.
Neither argument is my own. There is no need for me to craft one, since these two cover the topic flawlessly already.
Ideally, you should use these when a person presents the “but muh government has jets” argument. Which is seemingly becoming more common among the leftists.
We will begin with the vulgar, but hilarious, 4chan edition:
Listen, you fantastically retarded mother******. I’m going to try and explain this so you can understand it.
You cannot control an entire country and its people with tanks, jets, battleships and drones or any of these things that you so stupidly believe trumps citizen ownership of firearms.
A fighter jet, tank, drone, battleship or whatever cannot stand on street corners. And enforce “no assembly” edicts. A fighter jet cannot kick down your door at 3AM and search your house for contraband.
None of these things can maintain the needed police state to completely subjugate and enslave the people of a nation. Those weapons are for decimating, flattening and glassing large areas and many people at once and fighting other state militaries. The government does not want to kill all of its people and blow up its own infrastructure. These are the very things they need to be tyrannical ***holes in the first place. If they decided to turn everything outside of Washington D.C. into glowing green glass they would be the absolute rulers of a big, worthless, radioactive pile of ****.
Police are needed to maintain a police state, boots on the ground. And no matter how many police you have on the ground they will always be vastly outnumbered by civilians which is why in a police state it is vital that your police have automatic weapons while the people have nothing but their limp dicks.
BUT when every random pedestrian could have a Glock in their waistband and every random homeowner an AR-15 all of that goes out the f****** window because now the police are out numbered and face the reality of bullets coming back at them.
If you want living examples of this look at every insurgency the the U.S. military has tried to destroy. They’re all still kicking with nothing but AK-47s, pick up trucks and improvised explosives because these big scary military monsters you keep alluding to are all but f****** useless for dealing with them.
Dumb. ****.

This argument is available in meme format, as well:
Alternatively, here is another edition that is more PG-13 but gets the same message across:
See, in order for a police state to exist, you need police.
Tanks, Drones, missiles, aircraft, these things are shock weapons. Line breakers. Capable of indiscriminate destruction.
You know what they can’t do?
- Raid an apartment complex looking for weapons.
- Enforce Curfew
- Chase Jamal into the sewers beneath the projects
- Chase Cleetus into the swamps
- Root insurgents out of a hospital
- Stop and frisk civilians on the street
- Interview potential suspects
For all of these things, you need men. Boots on the ground. And they are very much vulnerable to small arms fire.
If you don’t think guerilla fighters can stand up to the US military, well, how well are we doing in the middle east?
Do we have security and victory? Or do we have an expensive and deadly quagmire that is a hotbed for extremists and recruitment?
Also, if you think the American people are sick of the war there, imagine now it’s at home. How many US hospitals can you bomb before the public turns against you? What is there left to rule over when you’ve blown up the bridges?
How long can you keep your own soldiers on your side when you tell them to bomb their neighbors, their friends, their sons?
– Another Anon, 2017
The main purpose of the Second Amendment is not for our “rights”, hunting, sport, or some other nonsense.
It’s to offer a method for guerrilla warfare against a corrupt state. And it would succeed at that task, given the disproportionate number of civilians versus state henchmen.
We are the militia.
Remember what I wrote in “A Well Regulated Militia”: What It Means:
TL;DR: The anti-government founding fathers did not give the government the ultimate right of defending oneself against… the government. They gave it to the citizens.
[…]
No gun law is legitimate in the face of the Constitution, regardless of how any slimy politician or moronic SJW attempts to circumvent it.
You are the militia. And that is exactly why the Second Amendment exists.
Their jets, warships, and Death Star have no power against us.
And if you still think otherwise, perhaps you are a “fantastically retarded mother******”, after all.
