The United States Or The Humdrum Empire?
I think most of us that still have our brain intact (by avoiding the covid vax and the seed oils) would agree that the United States is an empire, not a nation or a state.
It is the Empire of Lies, the Empire of Materialism, the Empire of LGBT, and the Empire of Babylon. (Yes, some of these are redundant).
But the United States is also the Great Humdrum Empire; the Empire of Boredom and Insipid Monotony.
It is just so lifeless and uneventful in this empire.
At least with other empires, they had exciting things.
The Romans had Pantheons, Colosseums, and Mausoleums. Meanwhile, our architecture is so uninspiring that most categorize it as depressing.
The Holy Roman Empire had an explosion in pilgrimages, monasteries, and deep theological revival. Meanwhile, our Churches are going to hell and are about as strong as a plastic doorstop made in China.
The Mongolian Empire had some of the most eventful military conquests of all time, alongside powerful figureheads who were as inspirational as they were ruthless. Meanwhile, our military is full of women and transsexuals, and we can’t even maintain supply lines or withdrawal from a desert country run by Afghans. Oh, and Biden recently picked a diversity-hire female admiral to lead the Navy.
The Byzantines held the frontline of Europe for centuries, on both a physical and spiritual basis. Their history, art, thinkers, and leaders continue to inspire us today. Meanwhile, our art is completely ridiculous and our “thinkers” can’t even figure out that the genders are different. We have no spiritual defenses and our physical borders are overrun on a daily basis by illegals.
Pretty much every empire is remembered because of their cultural significance and our tendency to admire the strengths/uniqueness found within them.
But no one cares about liberal democratic empires because they are so dull. There is no culture because by their nature they must destroy all unique culture. There is no enduring, admirable strength because there must be diversity and tolerance.
I mean, just look at late-stage Weimar or the Spanish Second Republic. No one cares about them at all except to point out their degeneracy that led to their fall. No one in the future will look back on us and be fascinated or inspired by our sportsball or our excessive materialism. They’ll be disgusted at times and bored at other times, exactly as I am right now.
The worst part about living under The Humdrum Empire is that we still have to deal with all the bad stuff of an empire, but get none of the fun stuff. It’s like a continual Nero and Caligula repeat, with no Augustus or Aurelius interim periods because the deep state actually runs the place, not a true Emperor. So there is never a true change.
At least with an emperor, you get the coin toss. We, on the other hand, are guaranteed continual disaster with this uniparty.
We have to deal with the political persecutions and the lopsided power imbalance. And we can do nothing inside-the-system about it. Exactly like all empires—But without the merriment of a powerful rightwing empire.
A liberal democratic empire takes all the fun stuff and gets rid of it, while multiplying the bad parts. No true culture, no strength, no hierarchy, nothing. But extra tolerance, fewer virtues, more consumerism, and more soy.
Liberal democracy really does ruin everything, even to the point of destroying the notion of an empire.
