Quite the change since the 1970s.

The Starter Home: 1970 to 2030

It was nice while it lasted:

American starter home style evolution meme

But I, for one, am looking forward to an expensive hunting backpack and shotgun. Currently, they would be a bit out of my price range.

I am also waiting for someone to edit these memes and show what 2050s looks like. Lots of possibilities. Both positive or negative, depending on the memer.

Thankfully, if you read content such as mine, you likely are already at least somewhat prepared. Most are not:

a lot of folks ain't ready

But be thankful for the hard times.

At least no one can say we live in boring times.

Happy Meme Monday. Have a great week.

  1. There have been nomadic civilizations that turned into settled societies throughout history, even today you’ll find plenty of nomadic tribes throughout Africa and central Asia.
Not sure if the reverse ever happened before (going from settled societies to nomads), if not, then congratulations America for being history’s first!

But perhaps it’s just necessary to go full nomad before you can get back on track again.
80 years of luxury life without any real problems sure made civilizations weak, and a time of hard core struggle is just necessary, although pretty sad that you can’t afford what your parents could afford when they were your age, not just in America or the west, but worldwide.

      Haha, America #1 I guess?

I sure hope we can turn it around, but it would require a period of intense struggle that I am not quite sure that my people are truly ready for. Time will tell.
