More Spending = More Benefits, Right?

Spend, Spend, SPEND
The leftist logic has always been that the more the state spends, the better services we receive and the higher the standard of living.
But is this actually the case?
The United States makes a fine example:
Everyone generally assumes that the vast majority of our money goes to the military, but this is incorrect. Most of it goes to welfare programs:
So, the question is still on the table:
- Are our roads better?
- Are we safer in our own towns?
- Do we have more opportunities?
- Do we have more liberties?
- Is it easier to achieve the “American Dream”?
If not, why not? Where did the $31 trillion go?
Last week’s Meme Monday was on the evolution of the starter home. We started in the 1970s where everyone and their 18-year-old factory worker son could afford a house. Now, most of us can barely afford a manufactured home at 35 (if that lucky). So the spending certainly did not help in that regard.
We’re also actively being invaded by illegals, so the spending is clearly not helping our defense situation. Oh, and thousands are being thrown in jail or losing their job for speaking their mind. And have you seen my roads?
I’m sure we all could think of a hundred examples.
And poor Gen Z, they have no idea what is coming:
To me, it seems like the $31 trillion went to actively making our lives worse, not better.
This is why more spending does not always equal a higher standard of living.
You must first make sure your leaders want to provide a higher standard of living, otherwise throwing money at them may have the opposite effect.
Therefore: More spending =/= More benefits, especially when you are ruled by people who want to destroy you.
Meanwhile, we are over here like:
This is a melancholic Meme Monday, but a needed one.
Nevertheless, have a great week.
