Happy Independence Day to all.
It is odd that we regard this day as “independence day”, even though most of us now recognize that we are not free. We simply switched one king (Britain) for another (the federal ruling class monolith).
But I always just take the day as a celebration of our people. A celebration of the heritage American nations and their accomplishments.
While fully understanding that we will be independent again someday.
I look forward to that day, so I celebrate July 4th with the same vigor that the leftists celebrate pride month. Because I have hope and faith for the future and for my people.
Plus, at least it’s not July 4th, 2020. Do you remember how bad that year sucked? I sure do, because I wrote about it: Sorry Everybody: Freedom Is Cancelled This Year Due to COVID-19. I’m just happy I don’t have to spend the day yelling at mask cultists again. Take pleasure in the little things, you know?
I hope you all are taking some time off to relax or doing something enjoyable for the day. It is needed.
Recharge and renew yourself. What better way to do that than by blowing things up, grilling some great food, and spending the day with loved ones?
