Gab.com (formerly Gab.ai) is the brand new social media platform designed with one goal in mind: free speech.

The CEO of Gab Andrew Torba has promised to uphold freedom of speech with this new network. It has a chronological feed (Algorithms don’t tell you what to view!). While also including a unique upvote/downvote system that other similar social media programs haven’t yet implemented.

Gab also has your typical requirements of social media. The ability to follow users, post whatever you want, and join in on trending topics (Top Gabs).

I recently got my invite to the invitation only program. The network is turning out to be incredibly awesome.

The new network has an interesting design. Also, everyone seems to be in support of the free speech principle.

It has enormous potential to grow into a significant competitor. And as a result, take down the other dominant social media platforms.

You have a controversial opinion… banned.

You better toe the line with political correctness. Your brand will take a hit without that much needed social media publicity.

Regrettably, it has resulted in many echo chambers. These actions have produced an increase of individual self-censoring.

We once again need a new platform to alleviate these problems. Thankfully, Gab.ai came just in time for the major social media crackdowns.

Gab also has an awesome verification feature.

As any conservative or political non-liberal knows, it can be difficult to acquire verification on Twitter.

Incidentally, they tend to like verifying individuals that agree with their left-wing agenda. Media organizations like Breitbart are not verified even though they obviously should.

The new platform will be allowing almost anyone to verify themselves, so no authority figures will be able to pick and choose who they feel like verifying. On top of this, conservative topics on Facebook many times never appear or fit within the trending categories. As a result, this is exactly what Andrew Torba mentioned was the single event that pushed him over the edge to create Gab.ai.

With the main social media platforms suspending users and altering their algorithms to fit their own views, it is increasingly important to have people like Torba take the initiative to start projects like Gab.ai.

Eventually, no discourse against the main social media networks would ever be accepted.

So it is incredibly imperative to start on alternatives and get users to migrate to them, before the propaganda reaches alarming levels.
