Dictionary Changes The Definition… Again
This isn’t the first time I’ve brought this up:
Merriam-Webster Changes Definition of Assault Rifle
The online dictionary Merriam-Webster recently changed the definition of “assault weapon” and “assault rifle” to the following:
Assault Weapon
any of various automatic or semiautomatic firearms; especially : assault rifle
Assault Rifle
any of various intermediate-range, magazine-fed military rifles (such as the AK-47) that can be set for automatic or semiautomatic fire; also : a rifle that resembles a military assault rifle but is designed to allow only semiautomatic fire
Previously, assault rifle were defined as (click here for the cached webpage):
a gun that can shoot many bullets quickly and that is designed for use by the military
But now we have even more examples:
Unethical? Webster’s Dictionary Quietly Changes Definition of the Term ‘Vaccine’ Due to COVID-19 Injection
…
After changing the definition of ‘racism,’ ‘sexual preference,’ ‘assault rifle,’ and other words to suit the globalist agenda recently, Webster has completely silently changed the definition of vaccine entirely to accommodate experimental biological agents that may alter a human’s genetics.
Merriam-Webster dictionary has quietly changed the definition of the term ‘vaccine’ to include components of the COVID-19 mRNA injection. The definition of the vaccine was specifically changed due to the COVID-19 injection.
The definition of ‘vaccine’ as of February 5th, 2021:
A vaccine used to be “a preparation of killed microorganisms, living attenuated organisms or living fully virulent organisms that are administered to produce or artificially increase immunity to a particular disease,” meaning it had nothing to do with mRNA injections, which are not live vaccines and do not use an infectious element.
The definition of ‘vaccine’ as of February 6th, 2021:
a preparation that is administered (as by injection) to stimulate the body’s immune response against a specific infectious disease:
a: an antigenic preparation of a typically inactivated or attenuated (see ATTENUATED sense 2) pathogenic agent (such as a bacterium or virus) or one of its components or products (such as a protein or toxin)
b: a preparation of genetic material (such as a strand of synthesized messenger RNA) that is used by the cells of the body to produce an antigenic substance (such as a fragment of virus spike protein)
A vaccine used to be “a preparation of killed microorganisms, living attenuated organisms, or living fully virulent organisms that is administered to produce or artificially increase immunity to a particular disease”, meaning it had nothing to do with mRNA injections, which are not live vaccines and do not use an infectious element.
And hell, if they cant change it, they just delete it:
Urban Dictionary Bans “Blue Anon” Entry Defining Liberal Conspiracy Theorists; Google Censors Search
The Urban Dictionary, which allows users to submit virtually any phrase with any definition, has removed a reference to “Blue Anon” – a new phrase mocking leftists for their belief in right-wing conspiracy theories, “such as the Russia Hoax, Jussie Smollett hoax, Ukraine hoax, Covington Kids hoax, and Brett Kavanaugh hoax.“
The move comes just 24 hours after journalist Jack Posobiec pointed out the Blue Anon entry to his more than 1 million Twitter followers
If your argument doesn’t match reality, the left finds it more expedient to just change or delete the definition rather than adjust their incorrect worldview.
