Addressing Some Upcoming Changes
It has been a while since I’ve done one of these internal meta update articles. Approximately three years, to be exact.
Time flies. It is wild to consider that I started this project seven years ago—in 2016. But here we are.
External pressure demands I make this article announcing some changes, at least for the time being.
I have had a lot of personal life shifts within the past year, which have impacted my ability to continue the website in its current capacity.
No, I am not shutting down the website. But I do have to concede some time investment to allocate it elsewhere for a while.
Thus, until I can get my life together, I’m working on a reduced basis. Expect the following changes to go into effect immediately:
- Three to four articles a week, instead of my traditional every weekday. They may be scattered throughout the week, but my aim is for Mon-Thurs. I hope to stick with four a week if I can, but will be giving myself some leeway for certain weeks.
- Elimination of social media usage entirely. This includes Gab and Minds. This particular one may be permanent, for reasons I do not wish to delve into.
- No further guest posts on other websites. There are a couple websites that many of you found me through that auto-post my content that is already published. They will probably continue (at their own discretion), but no new guest content will be provided.
I need to use this time to adapt to my new financial condition (which is changing rapidly because of the massive inflation), some family changes, moving across the country, and similar priorities.
I intend to also use this time to finish the book. I know I’ve said that what seems like a dozen times, but I’m actually on the final edit through now. We’re finally (actually) close to the end.
I still do have plans to dive into the podcasting route later in the year. Nothing has changed on that timeline, besides it taking longer than expected (as usual). We will get there, God willing.
I expect these changes to be short term. I should be back up to full speed within a couple of months. But, it may be more mid-summer before things settle down in my personal life. The absolute latest is the end of July of this year.
As always, I thank you for reading my website. I know there are hundreds similar out there, and I greatly appreciate you spending some time on mine. I hope it has been a benefit to you and that it can continue to be. Likewise, I also hope that you all are weathering the personal life storms as best as you can, given our current clown world posture.
Use this time to get prepared while you can for whatever is coming. That is what I intend to do.
Good luck and Gloria Deo.
