We Live In Exciting Times
We are on a roll lately. I feel like every week I tune into the news and even more insanity is popping off.
We had quite the dull period for a long time last year. But it seems we are not so lucky anymore. Things continue to progress and get even more wild each day.
Frankly, I can’t even keep up with the news anymore, as far as writing articles. I simply don’t have enough bandwidth to write the required amount of articles a week to keep up-to-date with each new happening. And normally, I don’t even like to do news on this website (I generally favor ever-green content).
Yet, here we are. I am probably going to have to start consolidating articles. There is just too much going on.
I mean, look around:
We have Iran’s retaliation coming soon to Israel that might spark a regional war.
Equally, we have Israel’s actions of attacking pretty much every single one of their neighbors and the entirety of the Resistance Axis, provoking conflict.
Then we have the fraudulent elections in Venezuela.
Alongside a pretty obvious military-coup attempt in Bangladesh to counter India.
Let’s not forget, the U.S. continues to provoke the Chinese using Taiwan in the Asian theater. Last I heard, we’re sending them “break-China’s-redline” weapons. That surely won’t piss them off.
And of course, the Russia-Ukraine war drags on. Because of this, the Russians are more than happy to see Iran in conflict, especially with the US. Because then they can arm the Middle East against us, as we have been doing for the Ukrainians against Russia.
Oh, and we can’t leave out the economy news. You know it’s bad when they start publicly saying the R word: Recession. Job numbers are down, stocks are down, and billionaires are making exit moves from high-profile stocks. You know what that means.
Perhaps you thought I forgot the vaccine news? Not so. For whatever reason, the bird flu vaccine got emergency use authorization. This is the same authorization that Covid had. Why? Who the hell knows? But I don’t think that’s a promising sign.
Yet, all the above is just a cliff-notes version. There are plenty of other happenings everywhere.
Pretty much every front imaginable, from economy, to bioweapons, to geopolitical conflict, to wars, to diseases, and so on, is heating up.
I’ve heard many people use the common phrase “there are weeks when decades are made” recently (such as with the attempted Trump assassination).
If that is true, we’re having a lot of decades made back to back. Because each week is freaking crazy.
And yet, as the ever-optimist that I am: I think it’s only going to get crazier the closer we get to this election.
Brace yourselves.
